“Placebo Live At Cigale” & “B-Sides: 1996 – 2006″

Todo el material recopilado había sido publicado con anterioridad en los diferentes singles de la banda desde 1996 hasta 2006, así como en la publicación digital “Placebo Live At Cigale” y no hay ningún tema nuevo o inédito en estas colecciones.

EMI Music has recently released a re-issue of the live album ”PLACEBO Live at La Cigale“ as well as a compilation of b-sides “B-Sides: 1996 – 2006“. Both releases have been launched by EMI Music, which was Placebo former label. Placeboworld has stated that these releases were not done in consultation with or approved by PLACEBO.
All the tracks in both albums had already been previously released in the different singles of Placebo from 1996 till 2006, and in the digital release of ”Placebo Live At Cigale”, and there is not any new unreleased track in these albums.

Stefan estará tocando un par de temas en el escenario junto a Lantana en el concierto que ésta estará ofreciendo en Madrid el próximo 25 de noviembre. El concierto tendrá lugar en la sala Boite.
Hotel Persona ya hizo una remezcla del single ‘Siempre’ para Lantana en su anterior trabajo, este segundo trabajo de la cantante, ‘Ex-Corazon’, ha sido producido por Dimitri Tikovoi, al que probablemente ya conoceréis por producir ‘Meds’ y colaborar en otros trabajos de Placebo, y por su interesante proyecto ‘Trash Palace’.

Stefan will be performing a couple of songs in Lantana‘s show in Madrid next 25th November. The show will take place at sala Boite.
Hotel Persona collaborated already with Lantana in her last work remixing the single ‘Siempre’, and this new album, ‘Ex-Corazon, has been produced by Dimitri Tikovoi, who you probably know because he produced Placebo’s ‘Meds’ and has collaborated with them in other works, and maybe also because of his interesting project ‘Trash Palace’.

Placebo suspenden el final de gira por problemas de salud de Brian:: Placebo cancel the final concert tour due to health problems of Brian

Placeboworld ha confirmado la cancelación de las fechas españolas y portuguesas de la gira. El motivo de la cancelación es el estado de salud de Brian Molko al cual los doctores han ordenado reposo absoluto. La banda ha querido pedir disculpas a todos aquellos seguidores que han comprado entradas para los conciertos afectados y agradecerles su apoyo:
“Es una manera horriblemente decepcionante de concluir nuestra gira ‘Battle For The Sun’ y odiamos defraudar a nuestros seguidores cancelando conciertos. Siempre intentamos asegurarnos de que podemos cumplir lo que prometemos así que sólo podemos pedir perdón por no poder acudir a vuestras ciudades a actuar.”
Los conciertos afectados en España y Portugal son los de Mallorca, 2 de octubre; Madrid, 5 de octubre; Lisboa, 7 de octubre y Lugo, 8 de octubre. Podéis encontrar también información en la web del Xacobeo. El importe de las entradas será reembolsado en su punto de venta.

Placeboworld has announced the cancelation of spanish and portuguese tour dates because Brian Molko is unwell and has been ordered by doctors to take complete rest. The band would like to apologise to all fans who had bought tickets to these shows and to thank them for their support:
“It’s a horribly disappointing way to finish our Battle For The Sun tour campaign and we hate letting our fans down by cancelling shows. We always try to ensure we can deliver what we promise so we can only apologise that we can’t now come and play for you.”
The canceled dates are: Mallorca, 2nd October; Madrid, 5th October; Lisboa, 7th October y Lugo, 8th October. You also can read information at Xacobeo website. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.

La organización del Xacobeo acaba de anunciar un nuevo concierto de Placebo que será gratuito y que estará incluido dentro de la programación del Xacobeo 2010

Placeboword ha anunciado que la banda va a actuar en el Palma Arena de Mallorca el 2 de octubre seguido por una nueva fecha en España, en el Palacio Vistalegre de Madrid el 5 de octubre de 2010.
Los tickets estarán a la venta mañana día 10 de agosto y estará disponible en www.ticketmaster.es
La primera fecha de Placebo en Mallorca programada el 20 de julio y tuvo que ser cancelada debido a serios problemas con el transporte marítimo, las entradas que fueron comprados para el concierto original son válidas para la nueva fecha.

Placeboword have revealed a special fan pre-sale for London show, on the 27th September, that celebrates the launch of the Battle For The Sun : Redux Edition. Placebo anuncian un concierto especial en Londres para celebrar el lanzamiento de la edición Redux de ‘Battle for the Sun’. Tendrá lugar el próximo lunes 27 de septiembre en el O2 Brixton Academy de Londres.
Habrá una preventa de entradas especial para fans el Miércoles 4 de agosto a las 9AM (hora inglesa) , permaneced atentos a placeboworld para esta preventa especial . La venta de entradas general será a partir de las 9 de la mañana (hora inglesa) el viernes 6 de agosto

Placebo announce an special show in London to celebrate the realease of ‘Battle for the Sun’ Redux Edition album. It will take place next Monday September 27th 2010 at London O2 Brixton Academy.

Gira Española de Placebo : Spanish Placebo Tour 2010
La gira española de Placebo la pasada semana por distintas ciudades de España no ha pasado desapercibida para los diferentes medios españoles tanto generalistas como la prensa especializada. Pese al problema logístico que produjo la cancelación del concierto de Mallorca, la gira ha tenido una buena acogida no sólo por los seguidores de la banda sino también en la prensa española. Son muchos los medios que podéis consultar pero desde bionic-club os hemos querido seleccionar algunos enlaces para que podáis ver el eco de la gira de Battle for the Sun en España.
Os dejamos la reseña que hizo el diario la Voz de Asturias sobre el concierto de Gijón así como la del Norte de Castilla sobre el concierto de Valladolid. También, para el Norte de Castilla, Stefan ofreció una entrevista con el titular “Doblamos la edad a la mayor parte de nuestro publico” en la que cita el trabajo que realizamos desde bionic-club. Estamos muy agradecidos a Stefan por esta mención.
En cuanto al concierto de Córdoba podemos leer en el diario de Córdoba su visión del concierto.
El festival Low Cost en Benidorm ha tenido un gran éxito en esta edición y ha tenido gran repercusión en los medios de prensa. Podemos ver un vídeo de la actuación de Placebo (fragmentos de Nancy Boy y Ashtray Heart) en esta página de RTVE en la que repasan la jornada del Low Cost en la que actuó Placebo. El diario Público realizó esta entrevista a Brian y a Stefan momentos antes de su actuación en este festival.

Placebo’s Spanish tour, that took place last week in some Spanish cities, hasn’t gone unnoticed to the different Spanish media. In spite of the logistics problems that ended up cancelling Mallorca’s show, the tour has had a good warm reception not only from the audience but also from the media. We have selected for you, from bionic-club, some links so you can see the effect of the Battle for the Sun tour in Spain.
There is a review that the newspaper ‘La Voz de Asturias’ published about Gijón’s show, as well as ‘El Norte de Castilla’ did with Valladolid’s show. There is also in ‘El Norte de Castilla’ an interview Stefan did titled ‘We double in age to the most of our audience’, in which he mentions the work we do in Bionic-club, something we really appreciate and thank Stefan for.
About Córdoba’s show there is a review in ‘El Diario de Córdoba’ about it.
Benidorm’s Low Cost Festival was a big success this year and has been in all kind of media. There is a video of Placebo’s show (part of Nancy Boy and part of Ashtray Heart) in the RTVE web site where they review the day of the festival Placebo was in. ‘Público’ newspaper published this interview to Brian and Stefan moments before going on stage.
