NME ha publicado una noticia en la que recogen la lista de canciones del sexto álbum, ‘Battle for the Sun’.  Además incluyen declaraciones en las que Brian Molko indica que: “Pienso que battle es el primero de nuestros álbumes que cuenta una historia en el transcurso de sus 52 minutos. Nuestros álbumes anteriores realmente eran sólo colecciones de canciones, a pesar de estar ordenadas por su movimiento musical. Espero que si escucháis con suficiente atención a las letras os surja algún tipo de temática unitaria perceptible” . El tracklist publicado por NME es el siguiente:

NME has published the  tracklist of the upcoming sixth Placebo’s album, ‘Battle for the Sun’.  Brian Molko has also pointed the following out: “I believe ‘Battle’ to be the first of our albums to tell a story over the course of its 52 minutes. Our previous releases were really only collections of songs and even though the songs are ordered according to the musical flow, I hope that if you listen hard enough to the words that some kind of discernible thematic unity will begin to emerge”. El nuevo tema adelanto del sexto álbum de  Placebo, ‘Battle for the Sun’,  se puede descargar ya gratuitamente desde Placeboworld. Esta canción no es un single, el single saldrá un poco antes de la publicación del álbum.

The brand new song in advance  for Placebo’s 6th album, Battle for the sun, is now available for free download at Placeboworld. This song is not a single, the single will be released before the album.

El 8 de Junio saldrá por fin el nuevo y esperado album de Placebo, ya por fin con nombre:  ‘Battle for the Sun’,  la primera escucha del tema del título del album será el martes 17 de marzo alrededor de las 19.00 de la tarde, hora inglesa, que serían las 20.00  hora española, en el programa de Zane Lowe en BBC Radio 1 .

El album saldrá en descarga digital,  CD, edición limitada CD + DVD, LP y una edición especial muy limitada ‘Deluxe Box Set’, la cual se puede encargar por anticipado aqui, las 500 primeras copias encargadas estarán firmadas for la banda, y adicionalmente se incluirá una descarga gratuita del album con esta edición.

Se han escondido 5 pases VIP dorados en estas ediciones especiales, uno por continente, que incluirá ir a un concierto de Placebo en tu pais, 2 noches de alojamiento, acudir al  soundcheck del grupo, cenar con ellos, y ver el concierto desde un lado del escenario.

Placebo’s new album will be released on June 8th with the title:  ‘Battle for the Sun’, the first play on radio of the title’s track will be next Tuesday 17th March around 7.00 pm , UK time, on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1.

‘Battle for the Sun’ will be available on download, CD, limited edition CD + DVD, LP and a very limited special Deluxe Box Set, which you can already preorder here, the first 500 preorder copies will be hand signed by the band, this edition will also include a free digital download of the album.
