Placebo - nuevo disco Parece ser que Virgin a expandido la noticia de que el nuevo disco saldrá el 31 de marzo acompañado del primer single que sería "bitter end" y que saldría unos dias antes exactamente el 17 de marzo aunque ninguna de estas noticias son totalmente oficiales aun. 19/11/02

Placebo - nuevo disco [info de Kerrang Mag] Molko está actualmente mezclando el cuarto album de Placebo junto a Jim Abbiss en los Estudios Mayfair en londres. El cantante dice que el album está saliendo fantasticamente "Es un album muy romantico." dice Molko "Realmente todo el es un monton de canciones de amor, comenzó como un album sobre el lado oscuro del amor pero le hemos equilibrado con un poco de esperanza." Placebo han grabado 20 canciones para su nuevo album. Entre los títulos incluídos están "English Summer Rain", "This Picture", "The Bitter End" and "Centrefolds". "Hay un monton de grandes canciones de guitarra" apunta Molko "También hemos ido por diferentes tangentes, pero el alma de Placebo está ahi todo el tiempo." Placebo - nuevo disco [info de Stefan] El grupo estará trabajando en el nuevo album hasta navidades probablemente y aún no hay fecha definitiva para su lanzamiento. Por ahora parece que están muy contentos con su nuevo trabajo. 02/09/02
Disco en directo - 4 Scott Se ha puesto a la venta un recopilatorio en directo del concierto de La Scala de 18 de Abril. El albúm salió el 26/08/02 en UK, y contiene las canciones en directo de los grupos que actuaron esa noche; Pulp, Stereophonics. Richard Ashcroft, Teenage Fun club etc.. y por supuetso Placebo, que en el disco presentan la versión acústica que tocaron de "Haemoglobin" el disco contiene ademas unas canciones especiales de The KLF, The Orb, Gomez y The Charlatans. Placebo tiene ya productor para su nuevo albúm, todavía sin título, el productor será Jim Abbiss, que ha trabajado con gente como: Sneaker Pimps, Bjork, U.N.K.LE. DJ Shadow y Kylie Minogue. Volverán al estudio en Julio a rematar y preparar todo el material en el que han estado trabajando hasta ahora para el nuevo disco, algunos de los títulos de las nuevas canciones serán: ‘Protect me’, 'Special Needs’, 'Multiply', 'Fade Out', 'Cavity Search' y ‘English Summer Rain’ . Placebo tomará parte junto a Pulp, Stereophonics, Cerys, Badly Drawn Boy, y Embrace en un concierto benéfico en memoria del músico Scott Piering (1946 - 2000), que tendrá lugar en Londres el 18 de Abril y solamente habrá 700 entradas disponibles, el dinero recaudado irá destinado a Marie Curie Cancer Care. Brian Molko no descansa. Tras sus apariciones como DJ en Londres y París, ahora viaja hasta la pardisíaca isla de Mallorca para deleitar a todos los que hasta allí se desplacen con su set. Noticia del día: 23/02/2001 Informa: Redacción Muzikalia.com El pasado lunes, Muzikalia.com tuvo el privilegio de asistir a la grabación de "Crónicas Marcianas" dónde Placebo presentó su último single "Slave to the Wage". (??? Creemos que debería ser "Special k") La tarde tuvo sus cosas buenas y sus cosas malas: entre las buenas, pudimos charlar con Stephan Olsdal, bajista y segundo guitarra de la banda, quién nos confirmó en exclusiva las avanzadas conversaciones de la banda con DoctorMusic, para que Placebo estén este año en La Vaca. De esta forma, Placebo volvería a un festival español después de sus éxitos en Benicassim en 1998 y 2000. Entre las cosas buenas, destaca también la amabilidad de la banda a la hora de firmarnos CD´s, incluso de saludar a todos los lectores de nuestra revista. Entre lo malo, la actuación fue en playback, una verdadera pena para los poco más de 20 personas que estábamos allí. Molko tells that the album is coming along fantastically well "Its a very romantic album." says Molko. "Its all a bunch of love songs really. It started off as an album about the dark side of love, but we've balanced that with a bit of hope." Placebo have recorded 20 tracks for their new album. Amoung the titles set for inclusion are "English Summer Rain", "This Picture", "The Bitter End" and "Centrefolds". "There's a lot of big guitar tracks on there" Molko notes.
