| 20/12/ 07 :: Nuevo disco de Placebo quizá en 2008 :: Placebo's new album maybe in 2008 :: [info: Stefan ] Stefan Olsdal estuvo ayer como artista invitado en el programa de Radio 3 'Bienvenidos al Paraiso', como ya anunciamos en Bionic previamente. Habló principalmente de sus experiencias en Placebo, la gran mayoría anécdotas de hace tiempo, como cuando Placebo conoció a Bowie, Robert Smith, U2 etc. También estuvo hablando del panorama musical en Europa, y sobre el futuro de Placebo. El grupo volverá al estudio en primavera como ya nos dijo la semana pasada. Ya tienen algunos temas con los que trabajar y saldrán más en el estudio, añadió que quizá habría nuevo album de Placebo antes del final del 2008, lo que es una gran noticia. También habló de su proyecto paralelo Hotel Persona, el albúm saldrá en los próximos meses en su versión española, y la versión inglesa saldrá algo más tarde. En cualquier caso él nos comentó que las canciones cantadas por artistas invitados se mantendrían en su versión original. Stefan Olsdal was yesterday the guest artist in the Spanish Radio 3 programme' Bienvenidos al Paraiso', as we previously announced here in Bionic. He was talking about his own experiences in Placebo, old stories mostly, as when Placebo met Bowie, Robert Smith, U2 etc. He was also talking about the musical scene in Europe, and about Placebo's future. As he told us last week, the band will be back to the studio in Spring, they have already some new material to work with and they will work out some more in the studio, he said that maybe the new album will be out before the end of 2008, what is great news. He also talked about his side project Hotel Persona, the album will be out in the next couple of months in the spanish version, and an english version will be out later. Anyway the songs in the album with guest voices will be only in their original version as he told us. | ||||

El programa se puede escuchar en directo online desde la página web de Radio 3. Stefan estará en el programa para hablar principalmente de Placebo, y contará anécdotas de su última gira. También le acompañará otro amigo biónico que es Miguel de Digital 21 y tienen planeado sortear alguna cosilla de Placebo firmada por él. ¡Así que no os lo perdáis! | 10/12/ 07 :: Noticias frescas de Placebo :: Some fresh news from the band :: [info: Stefan ] Bionic-club ha tenido la oportunidad de conversar con Stefan Olsdal y confirmar con más detalle las noticias que se anunciaron en la web oficial. Después de la larga gira de meds, continúan las vacaciones de los chicos de Placebo. Stefan está invirtiendo ese tiempo en el proyecto Hotel Persona con mucha ilusión, cuyo álbum está finalizado y sólo falta cerrar las negociaciones con los sellos discográficos para publicarlo. Aun así, en los próximos meses tendrán lugar las primeras actuaciones en directo de Hotel Persona. Pronto tendremos más novedades y confirmaciones de dichas fechas. Por el momento un dj set más para Hotel Persona, tendrá lugar el 29 de Diciembre en la sala Moloko-Pop: C/ Ramón y Cajal. Fuensalida (Toledo). Las actuaciones de Hotel Persona durarán hasta primavera, cuando Placebo vuelvan a juntarse en el estudio para la grabación del próximo álbum para el cual ya tienen algunos temas compuestos. Será en ese momento también en el que tengan que elegir un nuevo batería para el trabajo en estudio y en directo. No habrá tampoco álbum en solitario de Brian Molko, puesto que los temas que está componiendo serán para Placebo. Bionic-club have had a nice chat with Stefan Olsdal last weekend and he has confirmed us the latest news published on the official site. After the long tour they have been doing for Meds, Placebo are still enjoying their holidays. Stefan is working in Hotel Persona's project enthusiastically, the album is already finished and they are now on negotations with different labels to release it. Even so Hotel Persona will give their first live shows in the next months. We will have more news and confirmations of dates within the following days. At the moment a new dj set for Hotel Persona will take place next December 29 at Moloko-Pop: C/ Ramón y Cajal. Fuensalida (Toledo). Hotel Persona will be touring till Spring 2008, when Placebo will be back to the studio for the recording of their new album.The boys already have some new songs to work with. In that moment the band will have too to choose a new drumer to work with in studio and live. La formación de Placebo se separa de su batería, Steve Hewitt, debido a las diferencias personales y musicales. Brian Molko ha comentado que “estar en una banda se parece mucho a un matrimonio, y en las parejas -en este caso un trío- las diferencias pueden aumentar a lo largo de los años. No es acertado el decir que ya no quieres a tu compañero, teniendo en cuenta todo lo que se ha hecho en común. Simplemente llega un momento en la relación en el que se quieren cosas diferentes y eso impide que se pueda convivir bajo un mismo techo.” La separación es amistosa y triste para ambas partes. Steve Hewitt sustituyó a Robert Schultzberg tocando la batería en 1996 cuando la banda estaba promocionando su álbum Placebo y continuo en los siguientes cuatro álbumes de estudio 'Without You I'm Nothing', 'Black Market Music', 'Sleeping With Ghosts' and el más reciente 'Meds'. Placebo acaban de volver de los E.E.U.U. donde han formado parte del 'Projekt Revolution Tour' junto a Linkin Park y My Chemical Romance. La banda está ahora disfrutando de un merecido descanso. Brian Molko y Stefan Olsdal comenzarán el trabajo del sexto álbum del estudio de Placebo la próxima primavera y no tienen prisa de momento para buscar un reemplazo inmediato para Steve . Placebo Part With Drummer Steve Hewitt Placebo have parted company with drummer of 11 years, Steve Hewitt, due to personal and musical differences. Brian Molko commented "Being in a band is very much like being in a marriage, and in couples - in this case a triple - people can grow apart over the years. To say that you don't love your partner anymore is inaccurate, considering all that you've been through and achieved together. There simply comes a point when you realize that you want different things from your relationship and that you can no longer live under the same roof, so to speak." The split is amicable and a sad time for both parties. Steve Hewitt replaced Robert Schultzberg behind the drum kit in 1996 whilst the band were promoting Placebo's eponymous debut album and went on to record the following 4 studio albums 'Without You I'm Nothing', 'Black Market Music', 'Sleeping With Ghosts' and most recently 'Meds'. Placebo have just returned from the USA where they were part of the high profile 'Projekt Revolution Tour' alongside Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance. The band are now taking a well earned break. Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal will begin work on Placebo's 6th studio album next Spring and are in no rush to find an immediate replacement for Steve. We'd like to wish Steve good luck and send him support in his personal and musical projects. Also we send all our support to the, now, new duo Placebo to go on being the best band. | 27/09/07 :: Stefan Olsdal :: New Collaboration ::Nueva Colaboración :: SPAM : 'más SPAM' :: Stefan Olsdal ha colaborado con los madrileños SPAM en dos temas de su próximo álbum titulado 'más SPAM'. Los temas en los que Stefan ha contribuido tocando el bajo son 'Hazlo Así' y 'Necesito Más'. El álbum saldrá a la venta el próximo 23 de octubre y cuenta también con colaboradores como Nacho Canut de Fangoria entre otros. Podéis escuchar algunos de sus temas y obtener más información en su myspace. Stefan has collaborated with the band from Madrid, SPAM, in two songs from their new album 'más SPAM'. Fue triste ver cómo el concierto tuvo que ser acortado debido a cómo la voz de Brian se fue apagando a lo largo del concierto. Comprendemos que debió ser muy frustrante para Placebo como artistas el no poder terminar un concierto y agradecemos sus disculpas. Confiamos en que Brian se recupere pronto y puedan continuar su trepidante gira sin problemas. Éste es el mensaje que ha dejado el grupo en su página oficial pidiendo disculpas a los fans que acudieron al festival: DISCULPAS A LOS FANS PORTUGUESES Placebo desea pedir disulpas abiertamente a todos los fans que acudieron al Creamfields festival en Lisboa el pasado sábado por la noche (19 de mayo). El concierto programado tuvo que acortarse ya que Brian perdió su voz debido a las frías temperaturas. Él era incapaz literalmente de seguir cantando. Was a pity to see how Brian's voice was growing lower and lower throughout the concert and the set had to be cut finally. We understand how frustating is for Placebo as artist not being able to finish a concert and thank their apologies. We hope they can going on with their intense tour without more problems. This is the message the band has left on Placeboworld: APOLOGY TO PORTUGESE FANS Placebo would like to apologise unreservedly to all the fans who attended the Creamfields festival in Lisbon on Saturday night (19th May). The set was cut short due to Brian losing his voice as an extreme reaction to the cold temperatures. He was literally unable to keep singing. The band left the stage for the encore but decided it was impossible to continue. "We sincerely apologise to all our fans at Creamfields. We understand that it must have seemed confusing as to what was going on and we are sorry we had to cut our set short. Nothing frustrates us more than having on stage problems. | 25/04/ 07 :: Concierto de Sacramento cancelado :: Sacramento Show cancelled :: [info: Placebo's official myspace] Placebo han tenido que cancelar el concierto de esta noche (25 de abril) en Harlows Night Club, Sacramento debido a una recaída en la bronquitis de Brian Molko. Por desgracia, es el segundo concierto que Placebo ha tenido que suspender en esta gira por enfermedad. El doctor prevee que Brian estará recuperado después de un par de días de descanso para tocar en Las Vegas, en Tempe y terminar su gira estadounidense en Coachella el próximo domingo. Una vez más Placebo pide disculpas a todos los seguidores de la banda que han comprado entradas para este concierto. Es muy decepcionante para ellos defraudar a sus seguidores. Sin embargo, Placebo están planeando regresar a Estados Unidos en verano. Placebo have had to cancel the show tonight (April 25th) in Sacramento, Harlows Night Club due to a recurrence of Brian Molko's bronchitis. It's unfortunately the second show Placebo have had to cancel on this tour through illness. Doctor has advised that Brian should be fit after a couple of days rest to play in Las Vegas, in Tempe and finish their US tour at Coachella next Sunday. Once again, Placebo apologise to all those fans who bought a ticket for this show. It is very disappointing to let the fans down. | 30/03/ 07 :: Nuevo Single & Video :: New Single & Video :: Running Up That Hill :: [info: Capitol Music Group & Motionbox ] Capitol Music Group junto a Motionbox han montado un sitio en la red para el lanzamiento del nuevo single de Placebo Running Up That Hill. El motivo de este espacio es realmente dar la oportunidad a los fans de salir en el video que promocionará el single. Para participar simplemente os tenéis que grabar en video cantando la canción en primer plano, lo importante es que se vea en los labios que cantáis la letra. Después montarán el video con partes de los videos mandados por los fans cantando la canción. Si queréis participar seguid los pasos que se os dan aqui, tenéis hasta el 13 de abril. No está claro dónde ni cuándo saldrá el single, si solamente en USA o en más sitios, de momento no hay más información. :: Hotel Persona & Miguel Bosé :: Cada Día :: Ya está a la venta el nuevo álbum de duetos de Miguel Bosé, titulado "Papito" en el que podéis escuchar la canción que en la que colabora con Hotel Persona. Esta canción, titulada Cada Día se ha publicado en la edición doble del álbum "Papito". Este disco también cuenta con colaboraciones de otros artistas españoles como Alaska, Carlos Berlanga o Antonigo Vega y otros artistas internacionales como Michael Stipe, Noa y por supuesto, Hotel Persona. Después el grupo se tomará un tiempo de descanso antes de empezar de nuevo a trabajar en el próximo disco. The European tour dates list spreaded through the net a few days ago, have turned out to be just a false rumour. Although Stefan has confirmed us those tour dates to be false, Placebo will be on tour until summer, as he mentioned previously on the interview to bionic-club. 07 :: Posible gira Europea :: Possible European Tour :: Según se anuncia en el perfil de myspace Placebo Germany Placebo estarán tocando de nuevo este verano en Europa. La gira incluirá festivales y conciertos en solitario. Por fin, desde la gira de Sleeping With Ghost, Placebo volverá a España fuera de festivales teniendo una fecha en Madrid y otra en Vigo en agosto. Finally, since the Sleeping with Ghosts tour, Placebo will come to Spain to play out of festivals, to Madrid and Vigo in August.
